Model BDM35

Product Picture 3 3/4 Digit,
Analogue & Digital Display,
Multifunction Benchtop DMM

  • Voltage, Current, Resistance, Diode Test, Continuity
  • 1MHz Frequency Counter
  • Capacitance Meter
  • Large LCD Digital and Analogue Bargraph Readout
  • Auto and Manual Ranging
  • Fused 2A and 20A Current Inputs
  • Relative, Min/Max, Memory/Read, Data Hold Modes
  • Optional Rechargeable Battery Pack

In addition to DC and AC voltage, current, and resistance, Model BDM35 provides frequency and capacitance measurement, plus diode test, and audible continuity check.

Current measurement is to 20A and both the lower current and higher current inputs are fully fused. Specific ranges are automatically selected or can be manually selected with the RANGE button. When used with a thermocouple-to-mV converter, such as Wavetek Model TC253, the TEMPERATURE button will activate a C annunciator on the display to avoid operator confusion.

The BDM35 expands its multifunction capability by including many useful troubleshooting features: Min/Max will record the highest or lowest reading taken; DATA HOLD freezes the display for later viewing; RELATIVE(delta) MODE displays the difference between two measurements and can also be used to zero test lead resistance; and Memory/Read records the last measurement taken, even in a different function, for viewing later.

The meter's display is a 3 3/4 digit (4000 count) resolution, LCD type. Its 12.7mm (0.5 in.) high digits and annunciators for ranges and functions are easy to read and includes a 42-segment analogue bar graph.

The bench-top case provides full, 360 degree adjustable tilt-bail, skid-proof rubberpads, and power cord storage to maximize its utility. Testlead set, power cord, and operator's manual are included. An optional rechargeable battery pack (Option P/N BAT35) allows for portability.

Model BDM40

4 1/2 Digit Display,
True RMS,
Benchtop DMM

  • AC and DC Voltage, Current, Resistance and Diode Test
  • High Accuracy, Basic VDC 0.03%
  • 2A Fused and 20A Range
  • Easy-to-read, 0.5 Inch LED Display

Bench testing of voltage, ohms, and amps is easy and precise with Wavetek's new BDM40.

This 4 1/2 digit (20,000 counts) digital multimeter features true RMS (AC or AC+DC coupling) measurement capabilities to assure accuracy regardless of the types of waveforms.

The BDM40 features high resolution at a low cost, which makes it ideal for production test, QA test, depot service, and university and school labs.

Measurement capabilities include voltage from 10uV to 1200VDC and to lOOOVAC, current from 10uA to 20A, and resistance from 10m ohms to 20M ohms Diode test is provided on the 2k ohms range.

The interlocking push buttons on the front panel provide easy selection of functions and ranges. Bold labels on the input jacks increase visibility and offer an added safety, as does the fully fused 2A jack.

The BDM40's full 360 degrees adjustable tilt bail and LED display maximize readability for most any bench application. Each meter comes with standard test leads, power cord, and operator's manual. A full line of optional probes, current clamps, and test leads is available to meet your application needs.

Model FG2A

Product Picture 2MHz Function Generator

  • Square, Triangle, Sine Waves, and TTL Pulse Output
  • 0.2Hz to 2MHz
  • Duty-Cycle Control
  • VCF Input
  • Variable/Output Attenuation to 60dB
  • Variable DC Offset Control
  • Signal Inversion

The FG2A offers high performance with numerous output functions by fast, easy push-button selection of power, frequency range, and waveform. Standard outputs include both a TTL pulse output and an adjustable amplitude, low impedance output of low distortion sine, square, or triangle wave signals.

Duty-cycle control allows the 50% duty cycle of the signal to be changed to any desired value. You can use this to produce short duration pulses in square wave mode, or sawtooth signals (ramp) in triangle mode. The invert button allows you to change the polarity of the output signal. You can also add a variable DC offset voltage to the signal.

The VCF input permits the frequency to be controlled by an external DC control voltage. This capability is particularly useful for generating 1000:1 or 1:1000 sweep signals. Two 20dB attenuators allow easy adjustment of low output levels, and the 50 ohms output allows the FG2A to directly drive low impedance devices at amplitudes up to IOV pk-pk.

The FG2A is housed in a stylish case that allows stacking, and has a cushion grip carrying handle/tilt stand and a rear cord wrap.

Model FG3B
2MHz Sweep/Function Generator

Product Picture

  • Sine, Square, Triangle Waves, TTL, and CMOS Pulse Outputs
  • 0.2Hz to 2MHz
  • Linear or Logarithmic Sweep
  • Amplitude or Frequency Modulation
  • Built-in, 100MHz Frequency Counter with 5 Digit Display
  • Voltage Controlled Frequency (VCF)
  • Switchable 20dB Attenuator
  • Variable Duty Cycle
  • Variable DCV Offset

The FG3B Sweep/Function Generator features outstanding versatility and performance with five signals available: sine wave, triangle wave, square wave, TTL, and adjustable CMOS pulse outputs. The FG3B provides linear or logarithmic sweep of any of the selected signal outputs, and performs either amplitude or frequency modulation with internal or external modulating frequencies. Duty cycle control allows the 50% duty cycle of Output signals to be changed to any desired value. This produces short duration pulses or sawtooth (ramp) signals. The invert button allows you to change the polarity of the signal.

A built-in frequency counter eliminates the need to connect an external counter for you to verify frequency settings. In addition, it can be used as a stand-alone counter for measuring external signals up to 100MHz with excellent accuracy and low sensitivity. A Voltage Controlled Frequency (VCF) option allows the user to vary frequency as a function of the VCF input. A switchable 20dB output attenuator is available where low signal levels are needed.

The FG3B is housed in a stylish case, featuring a cushion grip carrying handle/tilt stand, rear cord wrap, and recessed areas in the top cover for easy stacking of multiple units.
